The legal firm of Messrs. Arissa Tan, Chien & Co. (formerly known as Messrs. Arissa Tan & Co.) was established by Arissa on 7th of July 2015.
Arissa had been invited by Oregeon Property Consultancy Sdn Bhd and have conducted conveyancing legal knowledge sharing to their team of real estate consultants in January 2017 & February 2019.
Arissa had been invited and have conducted conveyancing legal knowledge sharing in Go Green Property Fair at Johor Bahru City Square on 4th & 5th March 2017 and 31st March & 1st April 2018.

Chuah Shyue Chien
After graduation from UKM, Chien was absorbed by the AG-Chambers via Green Harvest Program. He started his career as a Deputy Public Prosecutor in 2009 and attached to the Commercial Crime Unit, Prosecution Division at Putrajaya. In June 2010, he was transferred to Johor Bahru as Deputy Public Prosecutor. Handling various criminal cases in Magistrate’s court, Session’s Court and High Court. In 2014, he resigned as a Deputy Public Prosecutor and started his career as a solicitor and advocate.
Chien has extensive experience in criminal litigation both in prosecuting and defending. He has successfully argued a number of cases in the practice areas of criminal defence work with his own creativity by producing high-tech evidence from the social media such as Facebook and Google Earth to raise a doubt in the Prosecution’s case which has been reported widely in the media. Apart from that, Chien had also successfully set aside the forfeiture various applications from the Prosecution under AMLATFA and Dangerous Drugs Act (Forfeiture of Property).
His legal exposure includes advising, defending, appealing, drafting police report, holding watching brief pertaining to any criminal matter. The various fields that he practices in allows him the ability to analyse issues from multiple angles.
Criminal law aside, Chien advises on a wide range of matters relating to copy right, especially to copy right user such as enforcement of IP rights, protection and exploitation of IP rights, and entertainment and licensing from Malaysia Intellectual Property Organization.
Chien also has the experience in civil litigation, family law, Probate & Letter of Administration matters/cases.
Liang Cheau Ling graduated with a L.LB (Hons) degree from National University of Malaysia (UKM) in year 2009 and was admitted as Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2010.
She completed her pupillage with Messrs Iqbal Hakim, Sia & Voo where she was exposed to general civil litigation matters such as contract disputes, debt recovery, bankruptcy and winding up proceedings, foreclosure proceedings and probate matters. She was also involved in conveyancing matters such as direct purchase properties from Developer, Will writing and more.
Upon completion of pupillage, she joined Messrs K V Lim & Voo in 2011 and was assigned to handle conveyancing matters including Developer sale and sub-sale of properties, land dealing, housing loan, commercial and corporate loan, perfection of transfer and charge, preparation of tenancy agreements and Will writing.
Subsequently, Cheau Ling continued her practice with Messrs Woon Wee Yuen & Partners and Messrs Chye Kwee Yeow & Co., specialising in all sorts of conveyancing practice such as sale and purchase of properties (including direct purchase, sub-sale and auction sale), transfer of property by way of love and affection, transmission & transfer of ownership for Probate / Letter of administration, loan transaction (housing & commercial), Discharge of Charge, tenancy agreement, trust deed, power of attorney and so on. During her practice, she has been assigned to handle loans from following banks such as Public Bank Berhad/Public Islamic bank Berhad, Hong Leong Bank Berhad/Hong Leong Islamic Bank Berhad, Alliance Bank (Malaysia) Berhad/Alliance Islamic Bank Berhad, Ambank (M) Berhad/Ambank Islamic Berhad, Rhb Bank berhad, CIMB Bank Berhad/CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad, Malayan Banking Berhad/Maybank Islamic Berhad, United Overseas bank (Malaysia) Berhad and OCBC bank (Malaysia) Behad/OCBC Al-Amin Bank Berhad.
Currently, Cheau Ling joined with Messrs Arissa Tan, Chien & Co as partner and her primary areas of practice are conveyancing matters and loan financing.

Low Jiah Yee
Jiah Yee obtained a L.LB (Hons) degree from National University of Malaysia (UKM) in year 2009 and also holds a Master in Laws degree from University of Malaya. Upon graduation, she served the Government of Malaysia as a Federal Counsel and she was immersed mostly in negligence litigation involving public authorities, running down matters, unlawful detention and police brutality. In her formative years, she had already conducted trials in the lower courts and high courts, and had appeared as co-counsel in the appellate court on occasions.
Apart from litigation portfolio, Jiah Yee is also actively involved in transactional works such as providing legal risk assessment, reviewing agreement terms, general terms and conditions (GTCs), employee handbook, company internal policies, performing legal compliance review and personal data protection issues, employment and commercial disputes involving distributorship, sale of goods and debt recovery. Her stints, both in a state-owned oil and gas company and Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC), have provided her with hands-on knowledge to review and draft commercial contracts and provides advisory in the commercial legal documentations involving employment law and anti-trust/competition law.
Currently, Jiah Yee heads the branch of the firm in Puchong, Selangor and handles various aspects of contentious and non-contentious disputes, from civil to corporate, including in employment and industrial relations disputes, divorce matters, estate administration and probate, data protection and competition/anti-trust law.

Han Tiau was admitted to Malaysian Bar in 1997. He is an experienced practitioner in full range of legal practices with speciality in banking, finance, real estate and matrimonial cases.
From May 1996 to May 1998: Han Tiau was attached and practiced at the chambers of Messrs Soo Thien Ming & Nasrah in Kuala Lumpur. He was actively involved in civil litigation especially in loan recovery work and bankruptcy matter.
Thereafter from June 1998 to July 1999: Han Tiau practiced at the chambers of Messrs Lau Kok Guan & Partners in Johor Bahru. During his tenure at this firm, Han Tiau was exposed to clients from all strata of society. He has become familiar with miscellaneous types of commercial litigation and has handled numerous cases in employment law, labour and industrial relation cases.
Han Tiau and his former partners Miss Saw Kim Hong and Encik Mohamed Harmy, have founded the firm under name and style of Messrs Mohamed Harmy Saw & Au since July 1999. The name of the firm was changed to Messrs Saw, Au & Associates due to outgoing of Encik Mohamed Harmey in year 2006. Since then, Han Tiau operates the firm until 31/12/2020. From the date of formation of the firm, the firm has been successfully emplaced in the panelship of Public Bank Bhd, Hong Leong Bank Bhd and United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd.
Since year 2000, Han Tiau has been actively and widely involved in conveyancing matters especially in various banks loan documentations.
